Do you have a
special place you go to reflect, find peace and joy, or just
get away from it all? Is it a quiet or noisy place? Do the
sights and sounds of nature excite and rejuvenate you? Canada
is home to many special wild places—national, provincial,
and local parks, nature trails, migratory bird sanctuaries,
wetlands, and vast expanses of protected wilderness areas.
These places are as important to your well being as they are
to the survival of the plants and animals that live there.
Join CWF and
its partners as we help Canadians discover their special wild
places during National Wildlife Week, April 10 - 16, 2005.
We'll look at some of Canada’s most intriguing protected areas
and special wild places. We'll even show you how you can turn
your special place into a sanctuary for all kinds of wildlife—chickadees,
chipmunks, hummingbirds, hares, butterflies and birds.
